Este documento está dividido em 2 capítulos distintos. A primeira referente ao trabalho de investigação sobre o uso racional de antibióticos em Cabo Verde e a segunda referente ao relatório de estágio em farmácia comunitária.
O trabalho de investigação foi um estudo de caso na cidade da Praia (capital do arquipélago Cabo Verde). O objetivo foi perceber a perspetiva dos farmacêuticos da cidade da Praia em relação ao consumo de antibióticos na população dessa mesma cidade. Como método usaram-se questionários distribuídos pelas 9 farmácias do sector privado na cidade da Praia, a um total de 18 farmacêuticos. Obtiveram-se respostas de 14 farmacêuticos dos inquiridos, em que todos concordaram que os farmacêuticos têm um papel muito importante no uso racional de antibióticos. A maioria (78,5%) concordou que há um consumo exagerado de antibióticos. Na perspetiva de mais de metade (57,9%) a população da cidade da Praia não tem a noção de um bom uso do antibiótico, realçando que bastantes recorrem ao mercado paralelo. A criação de um programa de sensibilização para um uso racional dos antibióticos foi bem visto por todos (85,7 % concordaram), sendo que este programa seria direcionado tanto para a população em geral mas também para os profissionais de saúde (médicos, farmacêuticos e enfermeiros).
O estágio curricular realizou-se na Farmácia São João na Covilhã entre os meses de outubro de 2014 e fevereiro de 2015. O segundo capítulo é um relatório da atividade que exerci nesses 5 meses de estágio, descrevendo todas as áreas que envolve a atividade do farmacêutico de oficina. Foi uma experiência bastante interessante e motivadora que permitiu ter noção do que realmente se faz em farmácia comunitária e do papel importante do farmacêutico neste ramo.
This document is divided into two distinct chapters. The first related to research on the rational use of antibiotics in Cape Verde and the second related to the internship report in community pharmacy. The research was a case-tudy in Praia (Cape Verde archipelago's capital). The objective was to understand the perspective of the Praia city pharmacists in relation to consumption of antibiotics in the population of that city. As a method it was used a survey distributed by 9 private pharmacies in Praia, a total of 18 pharmacists. It was obtained answers from 14 responders pharmacists. All responders agreed that pharmacists have a very important role in the rational use of antibiotics. Most (78.5%) agreed that there is an overconsumption of antibiotics. Against the background of more than half (57.9%) disagreed that the Praia city's population has notion of a good use of antibiotics, stressing that enough turn to the parallel market. Creating an awareness program for rational use of antibiotics has been well regarded by all (85.7% agreed), and this program would be directed both to the general population but also for healthcare professionals (doctors, pharmacists and nurses). The internship was held in Farmácia São João in Covilhã between the months of October 2014 and February 2015. The second chapter is a report of the activity exercised in these five months stage, describing all areas involving pharmaceutical activity workshop. It was a very interesting and motivating experience that allowed be aware of what really is in community pharmacy and the pharmacist important role in this field.
