Abstract(s)
Um olhar mais direccionado para a Habilidade Espacial, para a Geometria Descritiva, e sua
intrínseca relação e importância no estudo das Artes Visuais. A análise das temáticas vai no
sentido de suscitar a hipótese de uma avaliação psicométrica das habilidades espaciais com o
intuito de descobrir a origem dos fracos resultados na disciplina.
Vão ser apresentadas bases teóricas que sustentam a importância da geometria descritiva,
quer no desenvolvimento das habilidades espaciais quer no pensamento lógico dedutivo.
Serão expostas fundamentações que comprovam que o estudo proposto nesse sentido é
pertinente na procura de factos para mudanças curriculares.
Seguida do relatório da Prática de Ensino Supervisionada inserida no Mestrado em Ensino de
Artes Visuais do 3º Ciclo do Ensino Básico e do Ensino Secundário, na Escola Secundária Amato
Lusitano, Castelo Branco, com a Orientação Pedagógica do Professor José Manuel Santos, na
disciplina de Geometria Descritiva A, do 11º ano.
A closer look to spatial ability, descriptive geometry, and their intrinsic relationship and meaning on Visual Arts study. The thematic analysis aims to create a possibility of a psicometric evaluation hypothesis that may be the cause of the discipline´s poor results. The theorical foundations that sustain the importance of descriptive geometry will be presented, either in the development of spatial ability and in logic deductive thinking. It would be presented argumentations that witness that the purpose of this study is pertinent on any curricular changes. Followed by the supervised teaching practice report included in the Master in Teaching Visual Arts in the 3rd Cycle of Basic Education and Secondary Education, at Escola Secundária/3 de Amato Lusitano, in Castelo Branco, under the pedagogical orientation of the 11th grade´s Descriptive Geometry teacher, José Manuel Santos.
