Abstract(s)
Young people are increasingly interacting socially through the internet. The growing use of chat, dating or influencer and community apps has provided this age group with a growing and continuous expansion of their communication circle. The present research proposal is interested in investigating the extent to which a certain group of young people interact through dating apps, creating or reconfiguring a new affective culture. Using a qualitative research methodology, through a focus group, it is intended to understand what is so attractive about choosing and meeting people on the virtual plane in order to relate to them. How behavioral changes and their relationships through the internet and dating apps - whether for friendships, casual encounters or future relationships - can contribute to the perception of the current cultural model used by young people to relate to each other, seeking to understand the practices used and what are the motivations that lead them to these applications, highlighting the current scenario of a global pandemic, which has physically distanced even more people close to them.
