Abstract(s)
A presente dissertação pretende contrariar a tendência de despovoamento e degradação dos centros históricos e em particular no que concerne a Viseu. A dissertação teve como base a explicitação dos conceitos chave, nomeadamente – reabilitação, centros históricos e desenvolvimento sustentável. Numa época de crise económica e de deterioração ambiental,estes conceitos assumem uma importância acrescida. Seguidamente realizou-se a análise da área histórica a intervir de modo a descobrir as suas fragilidades e potencialidades. Foi necessário encontrar soluções que se adequem à zona em questão, utilizando os seus pontos fortes de modo a atingir objetivos como o de fixar a população.
This dissertation seeks to counter the trend of depopulation and degradation of historic centres and in particular regard to Viseu. The dissertation was based on clarification of key concepts, namely - rehabilitation, historical centres and sustainable development. In a time of economic crisis and environmental deterioration, these concepts take on added importance. Subsequently it was done the analysis of the historic district to intervene in order to discover their weaknesses and strengths. It was necessary to find solutions that suit the area in question using their strengths to achieve goals such as to ground the population.
