Abstract(s)
carteiras numa gama premium e luxo.
The present Internship Report, submitted to the University of Beira Interior (UBI), aims to demonstrate the validation of the skills acquired in the context of the training for the Master's degree in Fashion Design and their application in the fashion industry, specifically in the field of leather goods. Additionally, it seeks to describe and discuss all the work carried out, consolidating theoretical knowledge through the experience gained by Ana Rita Cabecinhas de Oliveira during the four month internship at the premium and luxury wallet manufacturing company named Daro’s, dedicated to exporting to various brands mainly located in France and Germany, among other countries. During the internship and after going through all the sections of the company, the student, in addition to her responsibilities in the modeling section of Daro’s, developed a capsule collection, from which pilot pieces would later be produced. This allowed the student to apply all the knowledge acquired during her years of academic training in Fashion Design, as well as the knowledge gained during the internship at Daro’s. In this way, and after the development of the capsule collection based on design methodologies, budgeting and photographic reporting were carried out. Applying the knowledge and skills acquired throughout academic training, internship, and capsule collection project, it is concluded that the real-world experience at Daro’s significantly contributed to enhancing project development skills in the design of fashion accessories, knowledge of materials, techniques, technologies, modeling quality, finishes, and markets applied to a specific fashion product such as premium and luxury wallets. It also helped a quick entry into the job market with integration into Daro’s team after the internship.
