| dc.description.abstract | Procuraremos fazer uma leitura do conceito de totalitarismo de Hannah Arendt e enumerar os elementos que o compõem para perceber se o atual momento populista representa a ameaça daquilo a que Arendt chamou totalitarismo. Nesta senda, numa primeira parte compreenderemos a conceptualização de Arendt, bem como os aspetos contextuais mais relevantes e auxiliares para uma fina aproximação ao seu pensamento. Consideraremos a vida e obra de Arendt, a singularidade da sua opus Magnum (As Origens do Totalitarismo) e a sua singular conceptualização do totalitarismo. Numa segunda parte, em busca por situar o potencial totalitário do atual paradigma político, analisaremos o que podemos considerar por populismo, bem como traçaremos uma compreensão da emergência do populismo de esquerda e do populismo de direita, separadamente (teórica e empiricamente). É por via da descrição da contemporaneidade europeia que procuraremos testar o potencial totalitário que o atual momento populista incorpora. | por |
| dc.description.abstract | We will re-read Hannah Arendt’s conceptualization of «totalitarianism» and list the elements that are part of its structure, in order to understand if the current populist moment represents a threat of what Arendt called totalitarianism. In this regard, in the first part we will comprehend Arendt’s conceptualization, likewise the most relevant contextual aspects, with the propose of getting as closed as possible of her thought. We will consider Arendt’s life and work, the singularity of her opus Magum (The Origins of Totalitarianism) and her original conceptualization of «totalitarianism». On the second part, with the propose of situating the totalitarian potential in the current political paradigm, we will analyse what we can consider to be populism, afterwards we will draw the line of a comprehension of the rising of left-wing populism and right-wing populism, separately (theoretically and empirically). It is with a description of the European contemporaneity that we will look for examining the totalitarian potential that the current populist moment incorporates. | eng |
