Abstract(s)
Este relatório de estágio tem por base o trabalho desenvolvido durante o estágio curricular no
Centro Clínico Experimental em Ciências da Visão (CCECV) da Universidade da Beira Interior da
Covilhã durante o ano lectivo 2016/17.
No decorrer deste período de tempo realizaram-se várias consultas de optometria e contactologia,
sendo selecionadas três para a elaboração deste relatório de estágio, orientado pelo
Dr. Ivo Soares.
O relatório de estágio intitula-se por “Suspeita de neuropatia óptica isquémica, Excesso de
Convergência. Adaptação de lentes de contacto semí-rígidas”.
Os três casos foram escolhidos de acordo com três das principais áreas de atuação da optometria
clínica atual, nomeadamente Patologias Oculares, Disfunção da Visão Binocular e Contactologia.
O relatório aqui apresentado também possui uma breve introdução aos temas que vão se abordados,
assim como uma análise dos casos clínicos devidamente fundamentados com os achados
e exames optométricos.
No final é feita uma conclusão dos casos clínicos apresentados, assim como uma descrição do
estágio quer a nível de conhecimento prático quer a nível de conhecimento teórico.
This internship report is based on the work developed during the curricular internship at the Centro Clínico e Experimental em Ciências da Visão (CCECV) of the Universidade da Beira Interiror of Covilhã during the academic year 2016/17. During this period of time several optometry and contactology consultations were carried out. Three of these consultations were selected for the preparation of this report, supervised by Dr. Ivo Soares. This internship report is titled “Suspicion of Ischemic Optic Neuropathy, Convergence Excess, Semi-rigid contact lenses Adaptation”. The three clinical cases were chosen according to three of the main areas of current clinical practice in optometry, namely Eye Pathology, Binocular Vision Dysfunction and Contactology. A brief introduction to the topics that will be addressed is also made. A duly substantiated analysis of the clinical cases, with the respective finding and optometric exams is also made. At the end of this report, a conclusion of the presented clinical cases is made as well as a description of the internship, both at the practical and theoretical level.
