Abstract(s)
do sexo feminino e 26.5% do sexo masculino.
Instrumentos: Versão Portuguesa do
Entrance to the university is one of the most important stages in an individual's development. The university is a space for learning, for developing skills and abilities, but it is also a period characterized by the adaptation of the individual to a new reality, which is university life. That is, entry to the university implies many changes, such as being away from home or making new friends. This period can sometimes be experienced as stressful, leading students to respond less adequately to problems and even aggressively in the face of unexpected situations, which can have an impact on students' well-being. Thus, this study proposes to evaluate the question of satisfaction with life and aggression in university students, since young people are the future of tomorrow, and therefore, it is necessary to understand where one can contribute to their better development. Participants: This study is characterized by having a sample of two countries, Portugal and Spain, resulting in a total of 475 university students, of which 226 (47.6%) are Portuguese and 249 (52.4%) are Spanish. About 73.5% of the participants are female and 26.5% male. Participants are aged between 17 and 24 years old. Instruments: Buss and Perry's Aggression Questionnaire portuuese version and Diener and collaborators' Life Satisfaction Scale portuguese version. Results: higher levels of perception of satisfaction with life are associated with lower levels of aggression; Spanish students have higher levels of satisfaction with life and aggression in comparation with Portuguese students and the male gender has higher values of satisfaction with life and aggression.
