Abstract(s)
O trabalho elaborado descreve e analisa conhecimentos e ideias previamente abordadas
filosofia Lean as principais causas deste insucesso.
O trabalho desenvolvido nesta dissertação consistiu no estudo e análise do potencial
This work describes and analyses the knowledge and ideas previously approached by other authors, in order to gather the most significant information regarding the subject of Lean philosophy, which has been a topic studied over the last years due to the relevance that it acquired. To this end, we used the exploratory research methodology due to the need to make a bibliographic survey on the subject under study, aiming to acquire a greater familiarity with it. After gathering information on the subject, it was clear why this philosophy is being one of the subjects with a great amount of studies, as it can generate multiple benefits to the organizations that implement it, however, it was there that the greatest difficulties were found, being the human factor and the absence of a universal sequence of steps to implement Lean philosophy the main causes of this failure. The work developed in this dissertation consisted in the study and analysis of the potential benefit that the SMED tool could generate in the company under study, in order to optimize the process of changing moulds in the injection department. Given the impossibility of implementing the SMED tool and the improvement proposals presented in the company under study due to the pandemic situation caused by Covid-19, forecasts were made for each proposed solution, which were found that if implemented, will provide very promising results.
