Abstract(s)
Esta dissertação tem como objectivo apresentar uma proposta para um concurso de
arquitectura da plataforma Archmedium, denominado “Motorino Check Point”, em Roma, a
ser implantado na Piazza dei Cinquecento, onde a sua função principal a implantar um Parque
de Estacionamento para motas do tipo scooter.
A metodologia utilizada passa primeiro por uma contextualização teórica. Será elaborado um
estudo da história urbanística de Roma dos séculos XIX e XX, para que se perceba o que levou
a que a cidade tenha a sua estrutura urbana atual, explicando o grande aumento populacional
nos últimos 150 anos, e todas as alterações que foram acontecendo levando a que hoje
existam problemas de mobilidade. Este estudo engloba também em pormenor o local de
intervenção, a Piazza dei Cinquecento, onde mostra-se a importância que ela tem na conexão
dos vários sistemas de transportes, a partir do edifício mais importante da zona, a estação de
Termini.
Numa segunda fase prática, será elaborada uma proposta de intervenção utilizando como
base o programa do concurso, cuja função principal é um parque de estacionamento para
1000 motas. Será elabora uma analise de casos de estudo de vários exemplos que sirvam como
elementos justificativos do projeto.
Com isto espero concluir que com a minha proposta de projeto, conseguir dar uma melhor
opção ao local, com uma melhor qualidade espacial, de fluxos e mais salubre.

This dissertation aims to present a proposal for an architectural competition of Archmedium platform, called "Motorino Check Point", in Rome, to be deployed in Piazza dei Cinquecento, where its main function to implement a Parking for motorbikes type scooter. The methodology used must first pass a theoretical context. A study of the urban history of Rome of the XIX and XX centuries will be prepared so that they realize what it took to make the town its current urban structure, explaining the large increase in population in the last 150 years, and all the changes that were happening with the result that today there are mobility problems. This study also covers in detail the site of intervention, Piazza dei Cinquecento, which shows the importance that it has in the connection of the various transport systems, from the most important building in the area, the Termini station. In the second practice phase, will elaborate a proposal for intervention using as a basis the program of the competition, whose main function is a park for 1000 motorbikes. An analysis of case studies of several examples that serve as supporting elements of the project will work out. With this hope to accomplish that with my project proposal, to achieve a better option to place with better spatial quality, flows and more salubrious.
