Abstract(s)
O presente relatório refere-se ao estágio curricular com duração de seis meses realizado
na Clínica Dr. Ergo, em Viseu, entre novembro de 2024 e maio de 2025, no âmbito da
conclusão do Mestrado em Optometria e Ciências da Visão, na Universidade da Beira
Interior. Este estágio teve como principal objetivo a aplicação e consolidação dos
conhecimentos teóricos e práticos adquiridos ao longo do curso, promovendo o
desenvolvimento de competências clínicas num ambiente real de trabalho.
Para efeitos deste relatório, foram selecionados três casos clínicos considerados
particularmente relevantes, nas áreas de patologia ocular, contactologia e visão
binocular. O primeiro caso descreve uma suspeita de melanoma da coroide; o segundo
refere-se à presença de uma endoforia básica; e o terceiro envolve a adaptação de lentes
de contacto num paciente com queratocone.
Em cada um destes casos, são apresentados todos os exames realizados, bem como a
respetiva análise, discussão e proposta de tratamento, com base na evidência científica e
na prática clínica adquirida ao longo do estágio.
This report refers to the six-month curricular internship carried out at the Dr. Ergo Clinic, in Viseu, between November 2024 and May 2025, as part of the conclusion of the Master's Degree in Optometry and Vision Sciences, at the University of Beira Interior. The main aim of this internship was to apply and consolidate the theoretical and practical knowledge acquired during the course, promoting the development of clinical skills in a real working environment. For the purposes of this report, three clinical cases were selected that we have considered particularly relevant in the areas of ocular pathology, contact lenses and binocular vision. The first case describes a suspected choroidal melanoma; the second refers to the presence of a basic endophoria; and the third involves the fitting of contact lenses in a patient with keratoconus. In each of these cases, all the examinations carried out are presented, as well as the respective analysis, discussion and treatment proposal, based on the scientific evidence and clinical practice acquired during the internship.
