| dc.description.abstract | Esta dissertação de mestrado é o mote para uma reflexão sobre a conceção e implementação de conceitos bioclimáticos. Visa uma abordagem de alguns conceitos bioclimáticos e a sua apli-cação num projeto de recuperação na região da Covilhã, em busca da harmonização da edifi-cação com as características ambientais do local. A arquitetura bioclimática, revela-se como uma ferramenta essencial para o projeto arquitetó-nico como forma de garantir conforto, com baixo consumo energético, tirando partido do clima local e sua envolvente. Torna-se essencial que o arquiteto tome consciência, de como reduzir o impacto ambiental das suas intervenções, estabelecer estratégias, reutilizar, reduzir o con-sumo energético com a utilização dos edifícios, aprender boas práticas e processos térmicos dos edifícios. Todos os arquitetos usam direta ou indiretamente alguns dos ensinamentos da arquitetura bioclimática, no entanto estes processos só conduzirão à minimização dos impactos ambientais da intervenção, se forem bem aplicados, possibilitando uma relação mais harmoni-osa com o meio e um menor consumo energético durante a vida útil do edifício. Assim o presente estudo parte de uma solução inicial, hipoteticamente, pensada para resolver possíveis preocupações de conforto ambiental, confrontando-a posteriormente com algumas variantes, alterando alguns sistemas construtivos e/ou materiais, incorporando deste modo uma nova realidade de conceitos bioclimáticos através do desenho passivo. Estimulando uma con-tribuição no desenvolvimento de uma arquitetura desperta para os princípios bioclimáticos e pelo respeito da sua envolvente, tanto física como ambiental. “Precisamos olhar o mundo de hoje com os olhos do mundo do amanhã, não com os do mundo de ontem. | dc.description.abstract | This dissertation is the motto for a reflection on the conception and implementation of biocli-matic concepts. Aims a bioclimatic approach to some concepts and their application on a re-covery project in the region of Covilhã, in the pursuit of harmonization of building with the environmental characteristics of the site. Bioclimatic architecture, reveals itself as an essential tool for the architectural project as a way to ensure comfort with low energy consumption, taking advantage of local climate and its surroundings. It is essential that the architect take conscience, of how to reduce the environ-mental impact of its interventions, strategies, reuse, reducing energy consumption with the use of the buildings, learn best practices and building thermal processes. All architects use directly or indirectly some of the teachings of bioclimatic architecture, however these only processes will lead to the minimization of environmental impacts of the intervention, if they are well applied, enabling a more harmonious relationship with the environment and a lower power consumption during the useful life of the building. So this study was part of an initial solution, hypothetically, designed to address possible con-cerns of environmental comfort, confronting it later with some variations, changing some con-structive systems and/or materials, thus incorporating a new reality of bioclimatic concepts through passive design. Stimulating a contribution in the development of an architecture awak-ens to the bioclimatic principles and respect their surroundings, both physically and environ-mentally.
