Abstract(s)
das cidades através do ROCK (Regeneraion and Optimization of Cultural heritage in creative and
Knowledge cities).
resta é a estrutura.
espaciais, e desta forma enriquecer a arquitetura.
Vários autores exploraram as
material, a espacialidade e a expressão.
This dissertation was developed through the continuation of the Triennale Universidades de Lisboa Prize Competition Millennium bcp, held during the first semester in the discipline of project V. The contest program is a community and interpretive center in Marvila, which aims to be part of a program that aims to rethink urban voids in the peripheral areas of cities through ROCK (Regeneraion and Optimization of Cultural heritage in creative and Knowledge cities). The structure has a very significant role in architecture, if we remove all the building elements of a building such as windows, doors, coverings and non-structural walls, what remains is the structure. We can then conclude that structure is the essence of any project. Since it is indispensable for a building, it is possible to explore its formal and spatial qualities and, in this way, enrich the architecture. Throughout the history of architecture, the structure played extremely important roles, from the subdivision of spaces, to the expression of buildings, as well as the relationship with construction. Several authors have explored the qualities of materials in line with structural systems that have resulted in several technological advances. This dissertation develops between the dialogue between the structure and the material, spatiality and expression. In an essentialist perspective, we seek to reflect on the importance of economy of means, as a way of designing a building with the essentials necessary to obtain maximum expression with the minimum of resources. The art of construction as poetic develops as a theme that intends to confront practice with design choices, through an ethical justification.
