| dc.description.abstract | O presente estudo teve como intuito analisar a implementação da filosofia Lean no setor têxtil português. Em particular, pretendeu-se examinar as motivações para a adoção da filosofia Lean, as barreiras encontradas, os métodos e ferramentas aplicadas, assim como explorar potenciais impactes operacionais, económicos e financeiros decorrentes das práticas Lean aplicadas. Para o desenvolvimento do estudo recorreu-se a dois estudos de caso de duas PME’s, onde foi possível realizar entrevistas semiestruturadas, e que aliado à obtenção de informação proveniente das páginas de internet das empresas, notícias veiculadas na imprensa e informação económica e financeira das empresas, foi possível apresentar e discutir a implementação da filosofia Lean nas empresas analisadas. A informação recolhida permitiu identificar fontes de motivação externa como o principal incentivador à aplicação da filosofia Lean. As barreiras à aplicação do Lean foram motivadas pelos próprios colaboradores. Verificase que os métodos e ferramentas Lean têm alguma aplicação no setor têxtil, e que apenas o método VSM parece ser menos explorado. A aplicação de práticas da filosofia Lean em empresas do setor têxtil trouxe benefícios ao nível das performances operacional e económica, não existindo evidências de que tenha afetado negativamente a posição financeira das empresas por um acréscimo do seu risco financeiro. | por |
| dc.description.abstract | The present study aimed to analyze the implementation of the Lean philosophy in the Portuguese textile sector. Specifically, it was intended to examine the motivations for the Lean philosophy adoption, the barriers encountered, the methods and tools applied, as well as to explore potential operational, economic and financial impacts arising from the Lean practices applied. For the development of the study, two case studies of two SME's were used, where it was possible to carry out semi-structured interviews, and that combined with the information obtained from the companies’ websites, news published in the press and economic and financial information of the companies, it was possible to present and discuss the implementation of the Lean philosophy in the analyzed companies. The information collected allowed to identify sources of external motivation as the main motivator for the application of the Lean philosophy. The barriers to the application of Lean were motivated by the employees themselves. It is verified that Lean methods and tools have some application in the textile sector, and that only the VSM method seems to be less explored. The application of Lean practices in textile companies has brought benefits in terms of operational and economic performance, and there is no evidence that it has negatively affected the financial position of companies by increasing their financial risk. | eng |
