Esta dissertação tem por base quatros objectivos: dar a conhecer o modo como o indivíduo se relaciona com o espaço, assim como, o papel do arquitecto neste processo de inter-relacionamento; compreender como
é que evoluiu a noção de habitação, e qual a influência da arquitectura neste processo evolutivo; compreender a evolução do restauro, recorrendo para tal às principais linhas de pensamento da Europa; por fim, iremos incidir no restauro em Portugal durante o séc. XIX para apreender a sua metamorfose.
his thesis it’s based in four distinct objectives: allow people to understand how the individual interacts with space, and also, how the architect fits itself in this process; comprehend the evolution of housing, and how architecture influenced this evolution; understand the progression of restoration concepts, transmitted by the main thinkers in Europe; finally, study restoration in Portugal during 19th century to figure out about its metamorphosis.
