O presente trabalho realizado no âmbito da unidade curricular ”Estágio” do Mestrado
Integrado em Ciências Farmacêuticas encontra-se dividido em dois capítulos.
O primeiro capítulo diz respeito à vertente de Investigação, tendo sido elaborado um manual intitulado ”Manual de imunomoduladores com ação antineoplásica: aspetos práticos relacionados com o tratamento” destinado aos profissionais de saúde. Sendo o cancro
uma das doenças com maior incidência e mortalidade em todo o mundo, tem-se vindo a
procurar desenvolver novas formas de tratamento. Pela sua eficácia e seletividade, a
imunoterapia tem uma benefício-risco mais favorável do que a quimioterapia convencional, pelo que é atualmente bastante utilizada como tratamento no cancro. Sendo uma
terapêutica relativamente recente o objetivo deste manual é que se torne uma ferramenta
de apoio aos profissionais de saúde, com informações úteis relacionadas com os tratamentos imunomoduladores antineoplásicos.
O segundo capítulo descreve as atividades desenvolvidas e as competências adquiridas
durante o estágio em farmácia comunitária. O estágio decorreu entre os dias 8 de fevereiro a 18 de junho na Farmácia Macedo Crespo na cidade de Trancoso sob orientação
da Dr.ª Rosa Alves.
This work carried out under the curricular unit "Internship" of the Integrated Masters in Pharmaceutical Sciences is divided into two chapters. The first chapter concerns the Research aspect, having been prepared a manual entitled "Manual of immunomodulators with antineoplastic action: practical aspects related to treatment" for health professionals. As cancer is one of the diseases with the highest incidence and mortality in the world, scientific research has attempted to develop new forms of treatment. Due to its efficacy and selectivity, immunotherapy has a more favorable benefit-risk ratio than conventional chemotherapy, so it is currently widely used as a treatment for cancer. Being a relatively recent therapy, the aim of this manual is that it becomes a support tool for health professionals, with useful information related to antineoplastic immunomodulatory treatments. The second chapter describes the activities developed and the skills acquired during the internship in community pharmacy. The internship took place from February 8th to June 18th at Farmácia Macedo Crespo in the city of Trancoso under the guidance of Dr. Rosa Alves.
