Abstract(s)
The use of paper has long ceased to be a single alternative to access journalistic content. Focusing on sports journalism, the printed journal purchased the next day is now replaced by information available in real time on online platforms. Never has the word facility made more sense if we consider the amount of sports content available. What previously existed only as text and image, now exist as text, image, video, sound, etc. at any time of the day and in any part of the globe. In the age of social networks, travelling to the rest of the world is inevitable and the sports phenomenon is likely to be experienced as never before, with the increasing use of devices such as computers, smartphones or tablets. Based on all the changes brought by the arrival of the Internet, this dissertation intends to demystify habits of consumption of sports content by students of the University of Beira Interior (UBI). For that, two focus group sessions were held to support an online questionnaire on the subject.
