Desde a sua origem, o jornalismo tem sido uma profissão denotada por constantes
mudanças, dentro do coração da sua estrutura. Ao contrário de outras ciências e
profissões mais objetivas, com evoluções sempre ascendentes, o jornalismo tem um forte
cariz social e a forma como serve o público tem provocado constantes reestruturações na
forma como se escrevem histórias, de forma a servi-lo da melhor forma, ditas alterações
funcionando tanto para o melhor e para pior.
Os jornalistas tentam sempre manter um equilíbrio entre dar ao
leitor/visualizador/ouvinte uma experiência prazerosa, mas manter a objetividade das
suas peças ao longo deste processo de entretenimento revela-se um constante desafio. A
educação dos novos jornalistas tenta incutir-lhes os valores necessários para
conseguirem fazer um jornalismo que possa ser visto dentro da indústria como “puro” e
“bom”, utilizando estágios para criar jovens jornalistas cada vez mais eficientes,
independentes e capazes de criar algo com estrutura e profundidade. Desta forma, tentase salvar a imagem sempre polarizadora que se tem da profissão, principalmente nesta
presente era virtual, onde o acesso à informação é incrivelmente fácil para as massas.
Através de entrevistas com vários estagiários da área do Jornalismo, vindos da UBI,
conseguiu-se notar nos novos jornalistas um sentido de responsabilidade e sapiência
perante as limitações que o jornalismo moderno lhes apresenta. E é essa sobriedade que
lhes permitem utilizar os conhecimentos que lhes são incutidos nos cursos teóricos, em
conjunto com a educação prática que lhes é dada nas redações de estágio, para evitar os
erros cometidos por jornalistas de uma era mais sensacionalista e confusa com o meio
virtual, e assim servir o público de forma objetiva e interessante.
Since its origin, journalism has been a profession denoted by the constant changes, within the very heart of its structure. Unlike other sciences and more objective professions, with ever-ascending evolutions, journalism has a strong social character and the way it serves the public has caused constant restructuring in the way stories are written, in order to serve it in the best way, said restructures being both for the better and for the worse. Journalists always try to maintain a balance between giving the reader/viewer/listener a pleasurable experience but maintaining the objectivity of their pieces throughout this entertainment process proves to be a constant challenge. The education of new journalists tries to instill in them the values necessary to be able to make journalism that can be seen within the industry as "pure" and "good", using internships to create young journalists increasingly efficient, independent, and able to create something with structure and depth. That way, it tries to save the always polarizing image that is of the profession, especially in this present virtual era, where access to information is incredibly easy for the masses. Through interviews with several journalism interns from UBI, it was possible to note in the new journalists a sense of responsibility and wisdom in the face of the limitations that modern journalism presents to them. And it is this sobriety that allows them to use the knowledge that is instilled in the theoretical courses, together with the practical education given to them in the essays of internship, to avoid the errors committed by the journalists of a more sensationalist and confusing era with the virtual environment, and thus serve the public in an objective and interesting way.
