“Webtelevisão em Portugal: Especificidades na produção de notícias para a Web” é o título deste trabalho que pretende dar a conhecer os modelos de produção de notícias audiovisuais feitas exclusivamente para a Web, as rotinas dos jornalistas e o modo de publicação das notícias no website. A Webtelevisão é uma televisão que nasce da convergência da televisão com a Internet e, enquanto novo modo de comunicar online, reúne em si características próprias como a interactividade. Este novo modo de comunicar utiliza a Internet como o seu único e principal canal para a transmissão de conteúdos jornalísticos. A Webtelevisão é uma televisão de proximidade com as gentes e com os territórios pelo que na produção de notícias audiovisuais a vertente do local e regional está sempre presente e tem um destaque especial. As especificidades na produção de notícias audiovisuais para a Web constituem um tema recente, suscitou o meu interesse por contribuir para dar a conhecer novas formas de fazer jornalismo em Portugal. Este tema foi estudado recorrendo a técnicas qualitativas, e concluiu que a Webtelevisão ainda não aproveita na totalidade as potencialidades que a Internet oferece e coloca ao serviço do jornalismo. Além disso, este estudo conclui que não se verificam diferenças relativamente à produção de notícias audiovisuais feitas exclusivamente para a Web, em comparação com a produção de notícias de televisão. Num estádio de desenvolvimento muito incipiente, a Webtelevisão portuguesa – mormente a Localvisão TV – ainda não adapta os conteúdos jornalísticos que produz à Web.
“Web television in Portugal: specificities in the production of news for the Web” is the title of this work which intends to show the audiovisual news models of production done exclusively for the Web, the journalists routines and the ways of publishing the news on the website. The web television is a television born from the convergence between TV and the Internet and, as a new way of communicating online, it binds together features such as interactivity. This new way of communicating uses the Internet as its main and only channel for the broadcast of journalistic contents. Web television is a television of proximity to the people and to the territories so, in the production of audiovisual news, the concern with the local and the regional is always present with a special emphasis. The specificities in the production of audiovisual news for the Web are a recent topic that aroused my interest for contributing to make the new ways of doing journalism in Portugal known. This topic was studied using qualitative techniques and concluded that web television is still not taking advantage of the totality of the potential that the Internet offers and puts at the service of journalism. Besides that, this study concludes that you can’t notice differences in the production of audiovisual news done exclusively for the Web, in comparison with the production of news done for television. In a very early stage of development, the portuguese web television – particularly Localvisão TV – still doesn't adapt the produced journalistic contents to the Web.
