Abstract(s)
This report has as main objective to understand and write about the principles that structure a narrative in Comics (BD), through an in-depth research on the state of the art and create a script for a BD project. In this sense, a study of European comics, North American Comics and Japanese Manga is made, where the historical framework is analyzed and the influences that these styles establish among themselves are also explored. After deepening the knowledge of these different BD styles, their narrative structures, themes, graphic expressions, compositions and other aspects were analyzed, which influenced the choice of creating a Comics that incorporates the different influences, mixing Manga with European BD. and American Comics. As a result, the main feature is the absence of a chromatic palette, an element that comes from Manga, which is defined by the use of black and white, as well as the use of exaggerated expressions in the emotions of the characters, but maintaining a Western reading scheme (from the left to the right) and using small color details. The research does not focus only on the history of Comics, it also highlights some of its most renowned authors, such as: Hergé, Hogarth and Tsutsui, exploring some of their works and the impact they had on the universe of Comics. In relation to the BD project, which was created under this thesis (with 61 pages), all stages of its evolution up to the final result are described and justified, exposing the sources of inspiration, thematic, narrative structure, concept art, script , final art and the techniques used.
