| dc.description.abstract | A presente dissertação enquadra-se na unidade curricular Estágio do Mestrado Integrado em Ciências Farmacêuticas da Universidade da Beira Interior e está organizada em três capítulos complementares. O primeiro corresponde a um trabalho de investigação na área da saúde no desporto, centrado na caracterização de manifestações alérgicas, diagnosticadas ou sugestivas, em nadadores adultos federados em Portugal. Para o efeito, foi aplicado o Allergy Questionnaire for Athletes (AQUA©), validado para a população portuguesa, a uma amostra de 95 atletas. Os dados obtidos revelaram uma elevada proporção de respostas com score positivo (81%), embora apenas 8% dos inquiridos referissem um diagnóstico clínico prévio de asma. Tosse, dispneia, prurido faríngeo e espirros destacaram-se como sintomas predominantes. Verificaram-se ainda associações estatisticamente relevantes entre a sintomatologia e variáveis como o sexo, idade, frequência semanal de treinos, temperatura da água e qualidade do ar percecionada, sugerindo a influência de fatores ambientais, nomeadamente a exposição a piscinas interiores e a derivados do cloro. O segundo capítulo dedica-se à experiência de estágio em farmácia comunitária, desenvolvida na Farmácia Grão Vasco (Viseu), entre 9 de setembro e 3 de dezembro de 2024. Esta parte descreve as principais atividades acompanhadas, o contexto funcional da farmácia e os conhecimentos consolidados, incluindo exemplos práticos que ilustram o percurso de aprendizagem ao longo deste período. Por fim, o terceiro capítulo reporta ao estágio em farmácia hospitalar, realizado no Serviço de Farmácia da Unidade Local de Saúde da Cova da Beira, na Covilhã, entre 9 de dezembro de 2024 e 31 de janeiro de 2025. Neste segmento são apresentadas as diversas funções desempenhadas nas diferentes áreas dos serviços hospitalares, com especial enfoque nas competências técnicas e interprofissionais adquiridas, proporcionando uma visão integrada do papel do farmacêutico no meio hospitalar. | por |
| dc.description.abstract | This dissertation was carried out within the curricular unit "Internship" of the Integrated Master's Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Beira Interior and is structured into three complementary chapters. The first comprises a research project in the field of sports health, focused on the identification of diagnosed or suggestive allergic manifestations in adult competitive swimmers in Portugal. For this purpose, the Allergy Questionnaire for Athletes (AQUA©), validated for the Portuguese population, was administered to a sample of 95 athletes. The results showed a high proportion of positive scores (81%), although only 8% of respondents reported a clinical diagnosis of asthma. Cough, shortness of breath, throat itching, and sneezing were among the most frequently reported symptoms. Statistically significant associations were identified between symptom occurrence and variables such as sex, age, weekly training frequency, water temperature, and perceived air quality, suggesting the impact of environmental factors, namely exposure to indoor pools and chlorinated by-products. The second chapter presents the internship in community pharmacy, conducted at Farmácia Grão Vasco (Viseu) between 9 September and 3 December 2024. It describes the main activities observed, the operational context of the pharmacy, and the knowledge gained, including practical examples that illustrate the learning experience developed throughout this period. The final chapter concerns the hospital pharmacy internship, carried out at the Pharmacy Department of the Local Health Unit of Cova da Beira, in Covilhã, between 9 December 2024 and 31 January 2025. This section details the different functions performed across the various areas of the hospital pharmacy service, highlighting the technical and interprofessional skills acquired, and providing an integrated perspective on the pharmacist's role in the hospital setting. | eng |
