Abstract(s)
Neste sentido, seguemse as recomendações do PRISMA.
This dissertation is part of a scientific article to be published in Revista a Psychologica. The writing of the article complies with the publication rules of the aforementioned peerreviewed journal. The practice of Yoga is recommended by the WHO as being beneficial for the formation of more critical individuals in the way they idealize well-being and for a more responsible and healthy society. Literature has focused essentially on the therapeutic purposes of Yoga and its role in alleviating symptoms or illnesses. There are few studies that relate this practice to well-being, healthy habits or self-analysis. The purpose of this article presented here is a systematic review of the literature on the impact of Yoga practice on the psychological well-being of adults. In this regard, the PRISMA recommendations are followed. The analysis is carried out through the systematic review of articles published in the B-ON, Web of Science, SCOPUS and Scielo databases, in English, Portuguese and Spanish. On the surveys carried out between 1st and 22nd April of 2021, 139 articles were identified, but only three were eligible. Studies and contributions to the object of study under analysis are very scarce, but abundant when Yoga is added to other physical activity practices or interventions. It is recommended to extend the period of analysis and to develop more studies directed to the practice of Yoga, as an isolated form of intervention, with healthy adults.
