O presente relatório descreve o processo de produção do curta-metragem O meu vento é o
norte, desenvolvido no âmbito da unidade curricular de Projeto Final do Metrado em
Cinema da Universidade da Beira Interior incidindo na direção de fotografia. Esta obra,
realizada por Mariana Silveira, é um filme que entrelaça a poesia verbal com sons e imagens
em movimento, de modo a traduzir as sensações e vivências de uma personagem entregue
ao fluir da natureza e de sua essência.
Na forma de um diário, compartilho, enquanto diretor de fotografia, o processo criativo
durante todas as etapas de produção e o método experimental de trabalho adotado, o qual
consiste na apropriação artística de imperfeições técnicas como o fora de foco, as aberrações
cromáticas, as distorções óticas e o improviso como essência de uma linguagem fílmica.
Transformar palavras em imagens não é um processo de ilustração, mas de transferência
das sensações que suscitam. O relatório é dividido em três capítulos. No primeiro capítulo,
são apresentadas as diretrizes e influências iniciais do projeto. No segundo capítulo, reside
o diário de criação de todo o processo de pré-produção e produção do filme, em conjunto
com breves reflexões e estudos teóricos. No terceiro e último capítulo, o relatório evidencia
o processo de pós-produção e finalização do filme.
This report describes the production process of the short film O meu vento é o norte, developed as the final project of the Master's Degree in Cinema Studies at Universidade da Beira Interior, under the eyes of its director of photography, Leonard Collette. This filmic work, directed by Mariana Silveira, mixes verbal poetry with sounds and moving images in order to translate sensations and experiences from a character delivered to the nature and to its own essence. In the form of a diary, Leonard shares his creative process and his experimental methods, which consists of making artistic use of technical imperfections such as the out of focus, chromatic aberrations, optical distortions and improvisation as part of the film language. Turning words into images is not a process of illustration - it is about transferring the sensations behind these words. The report is divided into three chapters. In the first chapter, the project's initial guidelines and influences are presented. Then, in the second chapter, the creation diary of the entire pre-production and production processes of the film are described, together with brief reflections and theoretical studies. Finally, in the third and last chapter, the report highlights the process of post-production of the film.
