Os estudos sobre o impacto da COVID-19 nos estudantes do ensino superior
têm vindo a ganhar importância na literatura. O presente estudo tem como principal
objetivo compreender o possível efeito preditor do otimismo sobre a intolerância à
incerteza (prospetiva e inibitória) no decorrer da pandemia COVID-19 em estudantes
do ensino superior. Para a sua realização, recorreu-se a uma amostra de 311 estudantes
do ensino superior pertencentes a instituições públicas e privadas em Portugal. A
recolha de dados foi feita através do método de inquérito por questionário, tendo sido
analisados posteriormente, a nível individual, através do cálculo de modelos de
regressão hierárquica múltipla. Por um lado, os resultados apontam o otimismo
disposicional como preditor da intolerância à incerteza inibitória e prospetiva. O
trabalho permitiu dar um contributo para o estudo do impacto da pandemia nos
estudantes do ensino superior.
