Abstract(s)
A satisfação no trabalho é considerada como um relacionamento afetivo ao trabalho, que poderá determinar o desempenho de um funcionário para o sucesso da organização. O objetivo desta investigação é analisar os atributos que podem influenciar a satisfação no trabalho nos profissionais de fitness, bem como analisar a perceção dos gestores/supervisores sobre os atributos que consideram influenciar a satisfação no trabalho dos funcionários, de modo a poderem entender melhor como agir no processo de gestão de recursos humanos. Para esse efeito foi aplicado um questionário a 44 funcionários e a 6 gestores/supervisores de ginásios/health clubs. Através do recurso à análise descritiva foram identificados os aspetos que mais influenciam a satisfação na perspetiva dos funcionários e dos gestores/supervisores. Dos resultados, a formalização foi a menos apontada pelos funcionários, bem como pelos gestores/supervisores. Relativamente às dimensões apontadas como tendo mais influência na satisfação, os funcionários consideram que a atmosfera da organização é fundamental, evidenciando que a simpatia entre colegas e clientes é o item mais valorizado. Já na perceção dos gestores/supervisores, os programas disponibilizados é a dimensão destacada de onde sobressaem os itens relacionados com a oferta de programas atualizados e inovadores. Foi ainda possível verificar que em função dos anos de experiência, os funcionários consideram diferentes atributos na satisfação do trabalho. Esta análise pode ajudar as organizações na compreensão no processo de gestão de recursos humanos, bem como na orientação de políticas de promoção de satisfação dos funcionários, de forma a conseguir desempenhos superiores que permitam sustentar uma vantagem competitiva em relação às outras organizações.
Job satisfaction is understood as an affective relationship with the workplace, which can influence employee performance to the organizational success. The objective of this research is to analyze the attributes that can influence the job satisfaction of the fitness professionals, as well to analyze the perception of the managers/supervisors about the attributes that can influencing the satisfaction of the employees. This analysis is crucial to understand new approaches to deal whit the process of human resources management. For this purpose, a questionnaire was applied to 44 employees and 6 managers/supervisors of gyms/health clubs. By using a descriptive analysis, the dimensions which can influence the satisfaction from the perspective of employees and managers/supervisors were identified. The results showed that the formalization was less valued by the employees, as well by the managers/supervisors. Regarding the dimensions that have the most influence on satisfaction, employees consider that the atmosphere of the organization is fundamental, evidencing that the friendliness of colleagues and clients is the most valued item. In the perception of the managers/supervisors the programs available are the outstanding dimension, highlighting the items related to the updated offer and innovative programs. It was also possible verify that according to the years of experience, employees consider different attributes in job satisfaction. This analysis can help organizations to understand the human resource management process, including the creation of policies to promote employee satisfaction, in order to reach a superior performance that allows them to sustain a competitive advantage.
