| dc.description.abstract | No Manual de Diagnóstico e Estatística das Perturbações Mentais DSM-IV-TR, perturbações da personalidade são definidas como “um padrão estável de experiência interna e comportamento, que se afasta marcadamente do esperado para o indivíduo numa dada cultura, é global e inflexível, tem início na adolescência ou no início da idade adulta, é estável ao longo do tempo e origina sofrimento ou incapacidade”. Dentre as diversas perturbações da personalidade existentes, inserida no grupo B das mesmas, encontra-se a Perturbação Estado-Limite ou Borderline da Personalidade. Esta perturbação está associada a comportamentos impulsivos, imprevisíveis, instáveis e autodestrutivos (suicídio ou automutilação), assim como a sentimentos de vazio, irritabilidade afetiva e raiva inapropriada, sendo estes apenas alguns sintomas associados a esta patologia. Neste artigo de revisão, pretende-se que esta perturbação seja abordada, nomeadamente, a nível de epidemiologia, etiologia, diagnóstico diferencial, diagnóstico e tratamento. | por |
| dc.description.abstract | According to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders DSM-IV-TR, translated to Portuguese, personality disorders are defined as “a stable pattern of internal experience and behavior, that deviates noticeably from the expected for an individual in a certain culture, it’s global and inflexible, begins in adolescence or at the beginning of the adult age, it’s stable throughout the time and causes suffering or incapacity.” Between all the personality disorders that exist, inserted in cluster B, we have the Borderline Personality Disorder. This disorder is associated with impulsive, unpredictable, unstable and self-destructive (suicide and self-mutilation) behavior, as well as feelings of emptiness, affective irritability and inappropriate rage. These are a few of the signs and symptoms of this pathology. In this revision text, this disorder is intended to be addressed, namely, in terms of epidemiology, etiology, differential diagnostic, diagnostic and treatment. | eng |
