Abstract(s)
O Capítulo I diz respeito à componente de Investigação.
permitiu-me contactar com as atividades diárias numa farmácia, aprender novos
This report is an integral part of the Curricular Unit "Internship" of the Integrated Master's Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences. It is divided into three chapters: the first one corresponds to the Research component, the second to the internship experience in Hospital Pharmacy and the third to the internship experience in Community Pharmacy. Chapter I concerns the Research component. It is entitled "Use of Cannabis extracts as ingredients in cosmetic products: market study". The Cannabis plant is rich in various compounds, with cannabinoids being the most abundant, such as CBD. The aim of this research was to conduct a market study on the use of Cannabis extracts in cosmetic products marketed in the portuguese and european markets, critically analyzing their labeling and claims. Regarding methodology, a research was carried out in commercial surfaces, in the pharmacy where the curricular internship took place and in a store specialized in Cannabis-derived products in Porto. After identification of cosmetic products with Cannabis derivatives, several labeling information were collected, namely, commercial name, function, pharmaceutical form, area of application, classification regarding permanence, nominal content, name and address of the responsible person, country of origin, Cannabis derivative present in the product and claims and their relation with effects of Cannabis derivatives. The results were analyzed taking into account the category of cosmetic products and their classifications using descriptive statistics. A study was conducted with 70 cosmetic products available mostly on online sites. The products studied are mostly for face care and include various pharmaceutical forms, such as cream, oil, serum, gel, cleansing emulsion and solution. They contained CBD, hemp oil or a mixture of the two ingredients. The cosmetic products with derivatives of the Cannabis plant besides providing hydration, nutrition, cell regeneration improve the appearance of the skin in special conditions such as acne, atopic dermatitis, skin irritation and itching. Chapter II describes my experience during my curricular internship in Hospital Pharmacy, which took place between February 7 and March 25, 2022, at Unidade Local de Saúde de Castelo Branco (ULSCB), at Hospital Amato Lusitano in Castelo Branco under the guidance of Dr. Sandra Queimado. During this period, it was possible for me to know the areas of intervention of a Pharmacist and develop the technical-scientific capacities and autonomy underlying the profession in hospital context. Chapter III refers to my experience during the curricular internship in Community Pharmacy, at Farmácia da Estação, in São João da Madeira, between March 28th and June 17th 2022, under the supervision of Dr. Paula Praça. This internship period allowed me to get in touch with daily activities in a pharmacy, learn new concepts and develop my ability to interact with users.
