This project explores the relationship between fashion, urban space, and urban art, highlighting the cultural and creative richness present in Portugal’s urban and peripheral areas. Fashion is understood here as a social and cultural language capable of communicating, questioning, and transforming realities, functioning as a tool for raising awareness and valuing local communities. Inspired by the aesthetics and dynamics of Barreiro, the project proposes a fusion between contemporary fashion and urban art expressions, creating a visual narrative that reflects both the passage of time and the potential for creative renewal. The adopted methodology is based on projective and interventionist approaches adapted from the authors Munari, Bonsiepe and Oliveira, integrating dimensions of design, marketing, and branding. The process encompassed all stages of developing a fashion brand — from defining the concept, DNA, and visual identity to creating the collection and communication strategies — ensuring coherence between creative thinking and project practice. The results highlight the potential of fashion as a means of cultural and social appreciation, promoting dialogue between urban art and the public. The project raises awareness of the importance of urban space as a territory of identity and expression, positioning Barreiro as an emerging creative hub. More than a collection, this proposal stands as a manifesto for conscious and socially responsible fashion that uses creativity as a tool for cultural transformation.
