Abstract(s)

The fashion consumers are also becoming more aware, searching for more sustainable products and for brands which their values are aligned with theirs. The solution might be the implementation of tools from a new digital era that we are facing, named Industry 4.0. Tools like Big Data, Additive Manufacturing (3D printing), tags RFID and Artificial Intelligence have shown a great potential to deal with the difficulties imposed to the fashion companies by demanding consumers used to a great and fast service, flawless, with quality and at the lower price possible. Many sectors from Industry are already adopting I40 technologies in their value chains, however in Fashion Industry the changes are not so visible yet. In the last few years have appeared new technologies innovations that might revolutionize the entire supply chain of Fashion Industry. The biggest challenge is to replicate this technologies on an industrial scale and adapt them to the needs of the Fashion Industry. It’s also required to breakdown the barriers that are holding back the businessmen to invest in this sense.
