Abstract(s)
Psicológicas Básicas no Trabalho (BPNWS).
for the Social Sciences (SPSS), versão 29.
Currently, there has been a growing concern with the optimal performance of employees and positive work experiences. The present study seeks to analyze the association between the perception of the effects of work on the community (perceived social impact, perceived social value, and affective commitment) and the satisfaction of basic psychological needs (autonomy, competence, and relatedness) among professionals in social and community intervention contexts. Two hundred professionals who carry out their tasks in social and community settings, in direct contact with vulnerable populations, participated in this study. The instruments selected for data collection include the Sociodemographic and Professional Questionnaire; the instrument for measuring the Psychological Effects of Relational Job Characteristics (PERJCS); and the Basic Psychological Needs at Work Scale (BPNWS). The creation of the database and subsequent statistical data analysis was carried out using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) program, version 29. The results of the study indicated a positive relationship between the variables under study, with the psychological effects of relational job characteristics exerting a positive predictive effect on the levels of satisfaction of the participants' basic psychological needs. The evidence found supports that the variables under study, namely the relational characteristics of work and the satisfaction of basic psychological needs, are positively related. However, it is important to emphasize that there is a need for further studies in this area to analyze which relational job characteristics are related to the satisfaction of each of the basic psychological needs.
