Abstract(s)
A presente dissertação, realizada no âmbito de Mestrado em Estudos Didáticos, Culturais, Linguísticos e Literários, pretende analisar a aplicabilidade das Regras do Acordo Ortográfico de 1990 no Léxico das disciplinas de Ciências Exatas do 2º ciclo no Ensino Secundário em Angola, particularmente das disciplinas de Física, Química, Matemática e Introdução à Economia. O principal motivo que nos levou a estudar este tema está relacionado com a problemática do Acordo Ortográfico de Língua Portuguesa, que tem sido palco de grande discussão em toda a esfera mundial dos países falantes da língua portuguesa, nomeadamente em Angola.
Métodos explicativos, auxiliados por uma extensão de análise documental detalhada de manuais escolares, revisão literária e bibliográfica atinentes ao tema foram fatores determinantes para realização do nosso trabalho.
Os principais resultados deste estudo revelaram que todos os manuais analisados acarretam alterações no léxico das disciplinas por forma a cumprirem o acordo ortográfico, em valores de número de páginas que variam entre 19% e 83%. O manual de Química de 10º ano, dada a especificidade de muitos termos da disciplina, apresenta o maior número de páginas que não cumprem o Acordo (159), e o manual de matemática, o menor número de páginas (37). Em todos os manuais, a manutenção da terminologia é uma constante, destacando-se, desta forma, a exequibilidade da aplicação do Acordo Ortográfico de 1990 às disciplinas do 2º ciclo do ensino secundário, em Angola.
The present dissertation, carried out within the framework of a Master's Degree in Didactic, Cultural, Linguistic and Literary Studies, aims to analyze the applicability of the Rules of the 1990 Orthographic Agreement in the lexicon of the subjects of Secondary Education in Secondary Education in Angola, particularly the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Introduction to Economics. The main reason that led us to study this theme is related to the problems of the Portuguese Language Orthographic Agreement, which has been the scene of great discussion in all the world sphere of Portuguese speaking countries, namely in Angola. Explanatory methods, aided by an extension of detailed documentary analysis of textbooks, literary and bibliographical revision related to the theme were determining factors for the accomplishment of our work. The main results of this study revealed that all the manuals analyzed lead to changes in the lexicon of the subjects in order to fulfill the orthographic agreement, in number of pages ranging from 19% to 83%. The 10th year chemistry handbook, given the specificity of many terms in the discipline, presents the largest number of pages that do not comply with the Agreement (159), and the math manual, the smallest number of pages (37). In all the manuals, the maintenance of the terminology is a constant, highlighting, in this way, the feasibility of the application of the Orthographic Agreement of 1990 to the disciplines of the second cycle of secondary education in Angola.
