A importância de brincar como actividade é algo que esta já bem patente.
Aquando do surgimento dos videojogos, iniciamos o estudo deste novo tipo de
brincadeira. A motivação dos jogadores para estes jogos, leva-nos ao encontro da
teoria da Imersão. Não sendo esta algo novo, ganha um outro significado quando
associada aos videojogos, por estes serem experiências muito imersivas.
Compreender em que contexto se cria Imersão nos videojogos, e de que forma os
vários componentes destes a influenciam, permite explorar os efeitos positivos
inerentes a contextos de elevada imersividade.
Quando examinamos a categoria de Jogos Sérios, mais concretamente a
subcategoria dos Educacionais, compreendemos a necessidade destas novas
ferramentas para educação de novas gerações. Especialmente tendo em conta a
forma como estes usam as novas tecnologias, de uma forma cada vez mais
prevalente. Sendo assim, através da Imersão como ponto de avaliação dos videojogos
educacionais, vamos conseguir perceber de que forma estes são eficazes na
educação. Também de que forma poderemos criar mais imersividade nestes jogos.
Com este trabalho é possível perceber que actualmente a Geração Alpha
ainda não tem ao seu dispor jogos suficientemente imersivos para usar na sua
aprendizagem. No entanto esta análise permitiu entender de que forma podemos
criar mais Imersão nos jogos existentes. Também salientar a importância de
desenvolver melhores Jogos Sérios Educacionais, face à perspectiva de uso por parte
dos educadores.
The importance of play as an activity is already well known. At the time of the emergence of video games, we began the study of this new type of playing. The players' motivation for these games brings us to the theory of Immersion. Not being something new, it gains another meaning when associated with videogames, because they are very immersive experiences. Understanding in what context Immersion is created in video games, and how their various components influence it, it allows exploring the positive effects inherent in highly immersive contexts. When we look at the Serious Games category, specifically the Educational subcategory, we understand the need for these new tools for educating the new generation. Especially taking into account how they use the new technology, in an increasingly prevalent way. Therefore, through Immersion as an evaluation point of educational video games, we will be able to understand how these are effective in education. Also how can we create more immersiveness in these games. With this work it is possible to understand that currently the Alpha Generation still does not have at its disposal, enough immersive games to use in its learning. However this analysis allowed the understanding of importance of developing better Educational Serious Games, given the perspective of their use by educators.
