Os números complexos são muito importantes em Matemática. Com muita frequência,
eles têm tido uma abordagem puramente algébrica, deixando uma preocupação
em como os mesmos podem ser aproveitados ou aplicados em outros
contextos. Neste trabalho, procuramos explorar esta aplicação dos números
complexos em geometria plana.
The complex numbers play a very important rule in mathematics. In high school, it is common to present complex numbers as a purely algebraic and abstract device to solve quadratic and cubic equations. This approach forgets the geometrical aspects of complex numbers and may cause the impression that they are not really useful in other contexts. In this dissertation we will study different applications of complex numbers in plane geometry.
