Abstract(s)
Um dos grandes temas da sociedade atual passa pelas alterações climáticas e suas
consequências. Consequências essas provenientes de um consumo crescente de energia, sendo
a sua maioria de origem fóssil. Aproximadamente 40% da energia final é consumida nos
edifícios, tornando-se por isso essencial, racionalizar a energia consumida e utilizá-la da forma
mais eficiente possível, como forma de retardar ou até retroceder o processo das alterações
climáticas do nosso planeta.
Neste âmbito, o presente estudo pretende determinar possíveis medidas de melhoria do
desempenho energético do edifício dos Paços do Concelho da Covilhã, onde se situa a
administração local, com o intuito de poder servir como exemplo para os seus cidadãos. Para
esse efeito, são apresentadas propostas de implementação de medidas de eficiência energética
e hídrica, de modo a reduzir a sua fatura e por consequência, a sua pegada ecológica.
O objetivo principal desta dissertação foi a identificação, em relação à eficiência energética,
dos vãos envidraçados, da iluminação e da climatização, e em relação à eficiência hídrica, dos
equipamentos sanitários presentes no edifício, com o intuito de os caracterizar e sugerir
propostas de medidas que visam aumentar o seu rendimento.
Para a concretização desta dissertação, foi realizado um estudo sustentado com base em
pesquisas e análises exaustivas do material técnico e científico, de modo a que sejam
apresentadas medidas consistentes com o estudo realizado.
One of today’s major society subjects is climate change and its consequences. These consequences come from increasing energy consumption, most of which being from fossil origin. Approximately 40% of the energy consumed in the EU is spent in buildings, making it essential to rationalize the consumed energy and use it as efficiently as possible, in order to slow or even reverse the climate change process on our planet. In this context, this study aims to determine possible actions to improve the energy performance of the town hall building of Covilhã, where the local administration is located, in order to serve as an example for its citizens. To this end, proposals for the implementation of energy and water efficiency actions are presented, in order to reduce their bill and consequently their ecological footprint. The main objective of this dissertation was to identify, in relation to energy efficiency, the windows, lighting and air conditioning, and in relation to water use efficiency, the sanitary equipment present in the building, in order to characterize them and suggest proposed actions that aim to increase its efficiency. For this dissertation, a sustained study was carried out based on research and exhaustive analysis of the technical and scientific material, in an effort to present consistent actions with the accomplish study.
