Abstract(s)
taxas de acerto relativamente à n-back task.
inventário de sintomas breves e a n-back task.
Working memory refers to a small amount of information that is stored and kept in the mind only for as long as necessary. In this study it is explored the depressive symptom’s influence on a specific working memory component, the central executive, through n-back task performance. This task is one of the most used in the assessment of working memory. Reaction times statistical differences were assessed. Sample was composed by people aged between 18 and 52 years assessed by a sociodemographic questionnaire, BSI – Brief Symptom Inventory and the n-back task. In general, no significant differences were found between the groups with higher and lower levels of symptomatology, regarding the rate of correct answers and reaction times in performing the n-back task, and thus none of the hypotheses of this study proved itself.
