Introdução: O tecoma é um tumor do cordão sexual/estroma do ovário, uma entidade rara, mais comum em mulheres na menopausa e geralmente benigno. Na presente dissertação, descreve-se o caso de uma mulher com 30 anos, grávida de 16 semanas, a quem foi diagnosticado um tecoma do ovário. Pela raridade do caso clínico, pretende-se fazer uma revisão da literatura atual relacionada com a patologia em causa.
Objetivos: procurar evidência científica atual sobre o Tecoma do Ovário na gravidez nas seguintes vertentes: epidemiologia, apresentação clínica, diagnóstico, tratamento e prognóstico.
Métodos: análise de artigos publicados no PubMed, em língua inglesa, portuguesa ou espanhola.
Resultados: o Tecoma do Ovário na Gravidez representa uma situação clínica rara, de carácter maioritariamente benigno que deve ser considerado no diagnóstico diferencial dos tumores malignos do ovário.
Conclusão: O tecoma é uma entidade clínica rara, especialmente na gravidez. A abordagem terapêutica deve ser individualizada.
Introduction: the ovarian thecoma is an ovarian sex cord-stromal tumor, a rare situation, more common in menopausal women and mostly benign. This thesis describes a clinical case of a woman with 30 years, with 16 weeks of pregnancy, who was diagnosed with a thecoma. Because of the rarerity of this clinical case, we pretend to make a review of the atual literature related with this pathology. Objectives: search for current scientific evidence on Ovarian Thecoma in pregnancy in the following areas: epidemiology, clinical presentation, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis. Methods: analysis of articles published in PubMed, in English, Portuguese and Spanish. Results: the ovarian thecoma in pregnancy represent a rare clinic situation, mostly benign and their importance is related to the differentiation between malignant situations. Conclusion: the ovarian thecoma is a rare clinical entity, especially in pregnant women. The therapeutic approach should be individualized.
