| dc.description.abstract | No decorrer dos anos, todas as cidades se defrontam com os mesmos desafios, como preservar o património arquitetónico, como reabilitar o centro histórico sem denegrir a identidade do local e incentivar os privados a investir nos seus próprios imóveis para não haver uma degradação dos mesmos. Os centros históricos são como a identidade da cidade, o que se tem vindo a perder ao longo dos anos, devido ao abandono e envelhecimento dos mesmos. Os centros históricos são datados como a área mais antiga e central da cidade, que têm entrado na decadência a nível económico, social e residencial. Pretende-se a identificação dos seus problemas, os objetivos pretendidos com a reabilitação e as soluções viáveis para renovar estas áreas por parte da Câmara Municipal de Viseu, juntamente com a Sociedade de Reabilitação Urbana (SRU) Viseu Novo, para dar uma nova vida ao centro histórico e promovê-lo para habitação de faixas etárias mais jovens, para eventos culturais e outros. Esta dissertação, parte da análise da contextualização da cidade de Viseu, com particular incidência na análise do trabalho feito pela SRU, inserindo-se na zona histórica da cidade de Viseu, com recurso aos Sistemas de Informação Geográficos (SIG), tendo como objetivo a sua inventariação de modo a permitir sínteses e conclusões, que permitam a elaboração da proposta sugerida pela SRU Viseu Novo. Atendendo às necessidades da SRU Viseu Novo, foi proposta a reabilitação de um edifício localizado no centro histórico de Viseu de modo a acolher um hostel. | dc.description.abstract | Over the years, all cities face the same challenges, such as preserving the architectural heritage, rehabilitating the historic center without denigrating the identity of the place and encouraging private investors to invest in their own properties in order to avoid their degradation. The historical centers are like the identity of the city, which has been losing over the years due to the abandonment and aging of them. The historic centers are known as the oldest and central areas of the cities, which have entered economic, social and residential decadence. The aim is to identify their problems, the objectives sought with the rehabilitation and viable solutions to renew these areas by the Viseu City Council, together with the Urban Rehabilitation Society (SRU) Viseu Novo, to give a new life to the historical center and promote it for housing of younger age groups, for cultural events and others. This dissertation, is city study about Viseu and with particular focus on the analysis of the work done by the SRU, inserted in the historic area on this same city, using Geographic Information Systems (GIS), aiming to it's inventory in order to allow synthesis and conclusions, allowing the elaboration of the proposal suggested by SRU Viseu Novo. In response to the needs of SRU Viseu Novo, this dissertation proposes the rehabilitation of a building located in the historic center of Viseu to host a hostel. For this purpose, the needs will be identified, with the contextualization of the building and case studies that can contribute to an adequate response to what was proposed. | eng |
