Abstract(s)
This dissertation was developed through the connection of contents of Digital Technology, Textile Conservation and Museography, to present the digitization of textiles and clothing museum collections as a way of preserving cultural heritage and to improve exhibition contents. For the realization of the dematerialization proposal of historical artifacts, in digital objects, two forms of digitization are suggested, which were chosen from an exploratory and projectual research, based on the literature review of academic studies, books, internet and field research, considering the new technologies currently available and the difficulties present in the daily life of museums and textile conservation. The aspects of innovation and simplification of processes to make the contents more accessible, through the virtualization of the collections, proposed through the capture with mobile device equipped with LIDAR technology, were considered. To verify the method, tests were realized on two costumes of the permanent exhibition of the National Museum of Costume, in Lisbon, which through five selected programs, an evaluation was made for the choice of the technique of greater ease of use and better cost-benefit. This study also verified the use of interactive digital technologies in museums, to attract wider audiences. Factor of relevance for the implementation of Augmented Reality interactive content, for exhibitions of Costumes and Fashion, proposed for future development of the researcher. That it plans to contribute to the research and digital reproduction of heritage collections, as well as collaborate with conservators, and increase the accessibility and understanding of content for the public.
