Abstract(s)
A presente Dissertação aborda, de modo geral, a trajetória de uma figura incontornável
da cultura portuguesa, Padre Antônio Vieira, à luz da obra O Sal da Terra, da autoria do
ensaísta/escritor português contemporâneo Miguel Real. Como é apanágio de qualquer
trabalho científico, definimos certos conceitos operatórios necessários à execução do
presente trabalho, de onde destacamos, a título exemplificativo, o de História, o de
Ficção, e o de Metaficção, o de Romance Histórico, o de Barroco e outros relacionados
com certas categorias da narrativa. Com efeito, utilizamos O Sal da Terra como corpus
principal para a análise levada a cabo que foi sustentada por literatura especializada.
Usufruímos ainda de uma entrevista que o ensaísta/escritor teve a gentileza de nos
conceder e que se revelou muito proveitosa para compreendermos como se dá a
construção do imaginário português contemporâneo através deste personagem que tem
grande relevância quer na história e na literatura de Portugal quer na do Brasil.
This Dissertation addresses, in general, the trajectory of an unavoidable figure in Portuguese culture, Padre Antônio Vieira, in the light of the work O Sal da Terra, written by contemporary Portuguese essayist/writer Miguel Real. As is an attribute of any scientific work, we have defined certain operational concepts necessary for the execution of this work, from which we highlight, the exemplary title, History, Fiction, and Metafiction, Historical Romance, Baroque and others related to certain categories of the narrative. In effect, we used O Sal da Terra as the main corpus for the analysis carried out, which was supported by specialized literature. We also enjoyed an interview that the essayist/writer was kind enough to give us and which proved to be very useful in understanding how the contemporary Portuguese imaginary is constructed through this character who has great relevance both in the history and literature of Portugal and in from Brazil.
