Abstract(s)
deste grupo populacional.
estivesse implementadono grupode intervenção equeo grupode controlo fizesse apenas
Hemodialysis patients are typically associated with a higher mortality rate and reduced physical activity, contributing to agreater weakness ofthe cardiovascular system ofthese individuals.By comparison with other parameters, the impact of physical exercise on the cardiovascular component ofthispopulationgroup isoftenstudied. However, the results obtained in this area show a considerable divergence between studies. Thus, the aim of this systematic review is to analyze and compare different physical exercise programs to determine their effect on the patient's cardiovascular system. The article search on the PubMed platform identified 19 randomized articles in the period from 2010 to 2023. All of the included items have implemented exercise programs in the intervention group and only performed usual care or passive movements in the control group. Participants are individuals aged 18years or older who have been hemodialysed for at least 3months. To draw conclusions about the participants' cardiovascular system, indicators of systemic inflammation, objective cardiovascular measurements, maximum volume of oxygen consumed, six minutes walk test, physical performance, quality of life and body composition were appreciated. From the available evidence, it has been shown that exercise, regardless of its peculiarities, improved objective cardiovascular aspects, having the potential to be an effective measure in the management of patients in this specific population. This requires more research and randomized studies.
