Abstract(s)
This report was prepared in the context of the Pedagogical Internship for the Master's Degree in Physical Education Teaching in Basic and Secondary Education at the University of Beira Interior, carried out at Campos Melo Secondary School during the 2023/2024 school year, representing the final stage of our training. The main objective of this document is to present all the activities developed throughout the school year and the pedagogical interventions carried out in the different educational cycles, including reflections and analyses of the experiences lived, as well as the problems that arose during this period. Thus, we will begin with a brief introduction to the pedagogical intervention work, followed by a contextualization of the school, the Physical Education group, and all the interventions carried out in the various educational cycles, describing and justifying the decisions made regarding the planning developed throughout the year, especially the evaluation of the covered contents. Finally, a general reflection on all the work developed during the pedagogical internship will be presented. The second chapter, "Research and Pedagogical Innovation," focused on applying the questionnaire developed by Kobal (1996) to assess student motivation during Physical Education classes and analyze its impact on academic development. The study aims to identify the importance attributed by students to intrinsic and extrinsic motivations, evaluating possible influences of these motivations in various dimensions. Students give more importance to intrinsic motivation than to extrinsic motivation. Amotivations are generally neutral. To increase student motivation, it is essential to make the classes more dynamic and diverse, promoting activities that stimulate intrinsic motivation. Moreover, participation in sports activities should be encouraged, given its positive impact on student motivation. These efforts can contribute to a more engaging and effective learning environment, increasing students' interest and participation in Physical Education classes.
