Abstract(s)
malvidina, peonidina, quercetina, resveratrol, rutina, e siringetina.
quatro meses e meio.
The present dissertation is part of the curricular unit “Internship” of the Integrated Master in Pharmaceutical Sciences, and is divided into two chapters. The first chapter refers to the Investigation experience, and describes the development of a qualitative method for the analysis of phenolic compounds in blueberries, using high performance liquid chromatography coupled to a diode array detector (HPLC-DAD). This work was developed within the cooperation between the Centro de Investigação em Ciências da Saúde (CICS) of the Universidade da Beira Interior and the Escola Superior Agrária of the Instituto Politécnico de Castelo Branco. Different chromatographic conditions were studied in order to develop a selective method for the compounds under study: caffeic, chlorogenic, ellagic, ferrulic, gallic, p-coumaric, syringic and vanillic acids, kaempferol, cyanidin, epicatechin, laricitrin, malvidin, peonidin, quercetin, resveratrol, rutin and syringetin. The optimized method was applied to real samples in order to assess its applicability. The second chapter concerns the internship in community pharmacy which took place at Farmácia Reis, in Castelo Branco, between February 1st and June 11th, 2021. This chapter describes not only the roles and responsibilities of a community pharmacist and his legal framework, but also my experience as an intern and the knowledge acquired over about four and a half months.
