| dc.description.abstract | O primeiro estágio do trabalho de parto é um momento preponderante no decorrer do mesmo, não só por ser a fase mais longa, mas especialmente por ser nesta que as intervenções a aplicar possam trazer um maior benefício ou prejuízo tanto à mãe como ao feto. Este trabalho propôs-se a avaliar a validade e atualidade científica da mais recente guideline da Organização Mundial de Saúde, publicada em 2018, comparando-a com artigos e estudos publicados posteriormente, ou outros anteriores que não tenham sido considerados na redação da mesma e que possam ser relevantes. É também averiguada e discutida a posição portuguesa em relação às matérias em estudo e a presença ou não de publicações nacionais sobre os temas. Foram realizadas pesquisas na PubMed, ScienceDirect, Cochrane Library, B-On. Acta Médica Portuguesa e na 5ª edição do Livro ‘’Medicina Materno-Fetal’’. Concluiu-se que a guideline permanece atual na maioria das suas recomendações, havendo contudo exceções, devendo estas ser reconsideradas e avaliadas em futuras atualizações da mesma. Em Portugal, poucos são os artigos publicados acerca do primeiro estágio do trabalho de parto pelo que se deve procurar um investimento na criação e definição de protocolos nacionais que uniformizem os procedimentos nesta fase e sirvam de orientação aos médicos obstetras na sua prática clínica. | por |
| dc.description.abstract | The first stage of labour is a defining moment during labour, not only because it is the longest phase, but especially because it’s during this time that the interventions to be applied can bring a greater benefit or harm to both the mother and the fetus. This dissertation aimed to evaluate the validity of the most recent World Health Organization guideline, published in 2018, and verifying if it remais current by comparing it with articles and studies published later or previous ones that have not been considered in its redaction and that may be relevant. The Portuguese position in relation to the subjects under study and the presence or absence of national publications on the topics is also investigated and discussed. Research was conducted at PubMed, ScienceDirect, Cochrane Library, B-On. Acta Médica Portuguesa and in the 5th edition of the Book ‘‘Medicina Materno-Fetal’’. It was concluded that the guideline remains current in most of its recommendations, however there are exceptions, which should be reconsidered and evaluated in future updates. In Portugal, there are few articles published about the first stage of labour, so an investment should be sought in the creation and definition of national protocols that standardize procedures in this stage and serve as guidance to obstetricians in their clinical practice. | eng |
