desenvolvimento pessoal e profissional.
no contexto escolar.
Chapter 1 This paper results from the Teacher Training, course inserted in the 2nd cycle of studies leading to the Master degree in Physical Education Teaching, taught at the University of Beira Interior , held at the Schools Group of Sé, more specifically at Escola Carolina Beatriz Angelo, along with three other student teachers, during the academic year 2013/20014 . The Teaching Internship is the basis of the formation of competent teachers and promotes quality education through reflexivity. Thus, this Internship Report aims to demonstrate my entire journey as Student Trainee, fundamental to my personal and professional development. Also reflecting on the difficulties encountered, the strategies adopted, and the most striking situations and skills that I acquired in the school context. Through this report, about the Teacher Training, we describe all the activity developed throughout the school year, it is a summary of the entire journey, including my goals as well as the Physical Education’s group. It is also concisely elaborate a little description about the Escola Carolina Beatriz Angelo, the main activities and concluded with a small reflection of the whole process. The class that was assigned to me, and that allowed me to develop my teacher training, was the 9th B, which was composed of 20 students, of whom 6 were female and 14 were male. This report served to give value to our Teacher Training, transforming it into an object of analysis and a learning tool. Without this work, nor this reflection, which was very rich in context and pedagogical practice, the experience would dissipate and be forgotten over time. In short, the experience along the internship was very productive because it provided several opportunities for different pedagogical practices and discussions about the teaching learning process, in which we were given freedom and autonomy to test our ideas, and always imposing a profound reflection on the all aspects of the practice. Chapter 2 The main purpose of this study was to compare the levels of physical fitness and body mass index of students with urban and rural residence from an elementary school in the North Interior of Portugal. The sample covered 270 students, 142 male and 128 female, aged between 9 and 16, belonging to the 2nd and 3rd teaching cycles. The Fitnessgram test battery (NES, 2002) measured physical fitness; the classification of body mass index was based on the reference values from the World Health Organization (1995) and the students’ characterization was made through their biographical archives given by the school. The tests’ results only demonstrated significant differences (p<0.05) amongst the following students: (i) 2nd cycle of female education: trunk extension with better results in students with rural residence and average force with better results in students with urban residence; (ii) 2nd cycle of male education: the shuttle with better results in students with rural residence (iv) 3rd cycle of female education: trunk extension with better results in students with urban residence.
