Esta dissertação de mestrado descreve todo o trabalho levado a cabo para a análise aero-dinâmica de uma aeronave na categoria de ultraligeiros. Tendo por base um estudo conceptu-al já criado anteriormente; O objetivo principal desta tese é dimensionar e validar aspetos relativos à aerodinâmica da aeronave do estudo conceptual.
Foram utilizadas ferramentas computacionais de desenho (CAD), para modelar a geometria da aeronave, ferramentas de Dinâmica de Fluidos Computacional (CFD), em 2D, e ferramentas de pós-processamento para análise de dados. Os resultados apresentam melhorias e/ou pequenos reparos dimensionais que possibilitam um melhoramento no desempenho da aeronave e respetiva estabilidade e controlo.
This master’s dissertation describes all work carried out to analyze aerodynamically an ultralight aircraft. Based on a conceptual study already made, the main objective is measure and validate aspects relatives to the aerodynamic of the aircraft created in the conceptual study. Were used computational design tools (CAD) to modeling the aircraft geometry, computa-tional fluids dynamic tools in 2D (CFD) and processing tools for data analysis. The result shows improvements and/or small dimensional repairs enabling an improvement in performance of the aircraft and respective stability and control.
