Atualmente, o mundo empresarial está cada vez mais competitivo é, portanto,
importante que as empresas tornem a sua produção mais flexível para responder às
necessidades de mercado. Com o objetivo de aumentar essa flexibilidade, é imperativo
otimizar os processos de preparação das linhas para a constante produção de novas
referências, isto é, otimizar o changeover e as operações de setup.
O objetivo desta dissertação é a otimização do processo produtivo de uma linha de
catalisadores, mais especificamente de dois robôs de soldadura, através da redução dos
tempos de changeover e setup.
Para atingir o objetivo inicial foi implementado o Single Minute Exchange of Die
(SMED), no entanto foi necessário recorrer também a outras ferramentas como o
Diagrama de Spaghetti, a Análise ERCS (Eliminate, Rearrange, Combine, Simplify), o
Gemba Walk, os Fluxogramas e o Diagrama de Pareto.
Os tempos de changeover foram otimizados em 32% na linha de produção e o tempo de
setup foi otimizado em 36% nos robôs de soldadura estudados. Verificou-se assim um
aumento da eficiência na linha de produção através da otimização do processo produtivo.
O aumento da eficiência levou à redução de custos associados à paragem de produção.
Este estudo para além da implementação de SMED com objetivo da redução do tempo
de changeover, oferece um estudo integrado de várias ferramentas Lean e de
ferramentas da qualidade, a fim de atingir a máxima redução dos tempos de changeover
e de setup da empresa.
Nowadays the business world is increasingly competitive. The production needs to become more flexible to survive in the world market. To increase flexibility is mandatory to optimize the lines preparation process to constantly produce new products and optimize the changeover and setup time. The main goal of this research is to optimize the production process of a catalyzer’s assembly line, in two welding robots, by reducing the changeover and setup time. To achieve the initial goal Single Minute Exchange of Die (SMED) was implemented. Although, it was necessary to use other tools such as the Spaghetti Diagram, ERCS Analysis (Eliminate, Rearrange, Combine, Simplify), Gemba Walk, Flowcharts and Pareto Diagram. Changeover time was optimized by 32% in the production line, and setup time was optimized by 36% in the welding robots. There was an increase in the efficiency of the production. The optimization of the production process led to the minimization of costs associated with production stoppage. This study is further than the implementation of SMED to reduce changeover time. This study was developed involving several Lean tools and Quality tools, in order to optimize the changeover and setup time as much as possible.
