No âmbito da obtenção do Grau de Mestre em Optometria em Ciências da Visão pela
Universidade da Beira Interior (UBI), foi realizado um estágio clínico de 6 meses, entre novembro
de 2020 e maio de 2021, na ERGOVISÃO de Aveiro, inserida na clínica Dr Ergo.
Na sequência do mesmo foram analisados três casos clínicos, Controlo de miopia através
de Ortoqueratologia, Insuficiência de convergência e Suspeita de Glaucoma. Estes casos
representam o contacto e a experiência vivida ao longo dos 6 meses de estágio.
O primeiro caso clínico sobre Controlo de miopia através de Ortoqueratologia, trata-se de
um paciente de 34 anos do sexo masculino que se deslocou à clínica Dr. Ergo para uma consulta
de rotina em que expressou o seu desconforto com o uso de óculos ou LC durante o dia. Foi-lhe
sugerida a opção de experimentar o método por Ortoqueratologia noturna, como forma
alternativa aos outros métodos de correção refrativa.
O segundo caso clínico, sobre Insuficiência de convergência trata-se de um paciente de
20 anos do sexo masculino, que apresentava queixas de dores de cabeça no qual se optou pela
terapia visual para tratamento da disfunção vergencial detetada.
Por último, o terceiro caso clínico trata-se de uma paciente do sexo feminino com 46 anos
suspeita de glaucoma, evidenciada pela alteração da retinografia e um valor de PIO acima da
norma, o qual foi reencaminhado para consulta da especialidade.
In the scope of obtaining the Master's Degree in Optometry in Vision Sciences at the University of Beira Interior (UBI), a 6-month clinical internship was carried out, between November 2020 and May 2021, at ERGOVISÃO Aveiro. Following that, three clinical cases were analyzed: Orthokeratology in a patient with myopia, Convergence insufficiency and Suspected Glaucoma. These cases represent the contact and the experience I had over the 6 months of internship. The first clinical case on Orthokeratology in a patient with myopia, it is a 34-year-old male patient who went to Dr. Ergo clinic for a routine consultation in which he expressed his dissatisfaction with the use of glasses or CL during the morning. Which were given the option to try orthokeratology. The second clinical case about convergence insufficiency this is a 20-year-old male patient. He had complaints of headaches and opted for visual therapy to treat vergential dysfunction. Finally, the third clinical case is a suspicion of glaucoma, evidenced by the alteration in the fundus and an intraocular pressure value above the norm, which was forwarded for consultation by the specialty.
