Abstract(s)
Esta dissertação dedica-se ao estudo da crise climática e ecológica, no contexto da
arquitetura. Este tema foi escolhido porque é atualmente o maior desafio que a
humanidade tem para solucionar, e muitas questões dependem da sua resolução. O
objetivo desta dissertação é expor, de forma simplificada, uma pesquisa extensa, que
quis analisar alguns dos problemas fundamentais da Humanidade, ajudando-nos a
definir claramente, o que temos diante de nós. Como todos sabemos, este problema
é causado pela queima de combustíveis fósseis, que emite gases tóxicos e provoca o
aquecimento do planeta. No entanto, continuamos numa trajetória autodestrutiva, um
terço de todas as emissões históricas de dióxido de carbono foram emitidas desde
2005. O que nos leva a permanecer neste caminho? O que nos leva a arriscar o nosso
sucesso e a vida dos nossos filhos?
É urgente desmistificar as nossas sociedades, para que exista hipótese de ação. São
claramente necessários novos caminhos para a vida, felicidade, e prosperidade, para
conseguirmos equilibrar as aspirações humanas com o planeta. Para nós, este estudo
iniciou uma transformação, e o texto que se segue espera conseguir fazer o mesmo
por vocês.
This dissertation is dedicated to the study of the climate and ecological crisis in the context of architecture. This topic was chosen because it is currently the greatest challenge facing humanity and many issues depend on its resolution. The aim of this dissertation is to present, in a simplified way, an extensive piece of research that sought to gain a better understanding of some of humanity's fundamental problems, so we’ll be able to clearly define what we have in front of us. As we all know, this problem is caused by the burning of fossil fuels, which emits toxic gases and causes the planet to heat up. However, we remain on a self-destructive path, a third of all historical carbon dioxide emissions have been emitted since 2005. What makes us stay on this path? What makes us risk our success and the lives of our children? It is urgent to demystify our societies so that there is a chance for action. New paths to life, happiness and prosperity are clearly needed if we are to balance human aspirations with the planet. In us, this study has initiated a transformation and the following text hopes to do the same for you.
