Nesta investigação analisa-se quais os consumos culturais praticados pelos alunos de 1º ano de licenciatura e 1º ano de mestrado em Ciências da Comunicação e Engenharia Eletromecânica da Universidade da beira Interior e quais as plataformas que utilizam para fazer esses consumos. Deste modo, os objetivos passam por perceber qual os tipos de cultura consumidos pela amostra, saber com que regularidade consomem, pretende-se ainda saber se existem diferenças nos consumos culturais por género, meio de residência, por curso e por ano. É ainda de ressalvar que se vai entender qual a ferramenta mais utilizada pela amostra para praticar os seus consumos, bem como saber qual é o local predileto dos alunos inquiridos para efetuarem os seus consumos.
À semelhança do que seria esperado não se verificam diferenças significativas nos consumos culturais da amostra. Constata-se que a música é o tipo de cultura mais consumido pelos inquiridos e os livros são os que menos cativam os alunos. De uma forma geral pode-se ainda constatar que o computador é a ferramenta mais utilizada nos consumos culturais dos alunos de 1º ano de licenciatura e 1º ano de mestrado em Ciências da Comunicação e Engenharia Eletromecânica.
The present research looks at the cultural consumption practiced and which platforms used to make these consumption for the first year of superior degree students and first year Masters students of Ciências da Comunicação e Engenharia Eletromecânica da Universidade da Beira Interior. Accordingly, the goals of this research are understand which types of cultures consumed by the sample, to know how consume, and we also like to know whether there are still important differences in the cultural consumption according to gender, to place of residence, to course, and to year of sample. It should be noted, we will understand the most used tool in the sample to make their consumption, as well as, know what the favorite place of sample of students to effect their consumption. Similarly to what would be expected to result, there were no significant differences between cultural consumption of the sample. It appears that music is the most consumed type of culture by interviewed and books are the less captivate students. In broader terms too, we have to establish that the computer it is the tool most used in cultural consumption by the first year of superior degree students and first year Masters students of Ciências da Comunicação e Engenharia Eletromecânica da Universidade da Beira Interior.
