Abstract(s)
The present report describes, characterizes and reflects the process and the results of work established in the context of a trainee at LabCom, Laboratório de Comunicação e Conteúdos from University of Beira Interior, in order to support the fourth edition of DESIGNA, International Conference on Research in Design . DESIGNA stands out for its ability to bring together diverse points of discussion and consolidation on the theoretical and creative corpus of Design. Therefore and having this report a theoretical and practical component, all the conception of the material and promotional support requested, were focused on several areas of graphic design: flyers, banners, bookmarks, bags and pagination of the previous three editions from the proceedigns book (digital and printed version), taking into account the basic rules of graphic design and typography. To consolidate and complete the entire work, we considered the legacy of several authors such as Jan Tschichol, Josef Müller-Brockmann, Ellen Lupton, among other classics of the visual identity with a focus on editorial design, often requested. As a result, the proposed report, in addition to being a culmination of all the learning gained in this 2nd cycle, allowed us the opportunity to revisit and consolidate important concepts and fundamental rules for the formation of any designer.
